Experimenting with the inner workings of narrative-based puzzles and mysteries to build fun community experiences.
The Scroll Lock Zine
Scroll Lock is a 20-page Risograph-printed zine, distributed free at PyCon US 2026 in Long Beach, CA. It explores our relationship with technology: what it promised, what it delivered, and what we do now.
A closer look reveals a loose thread that pulls from the page to the web, in a journey through an important project in the history of computing.
You can still solve the Scroll Lock puzzle, but you need a zine to do it. If you did not get one during the conference, reach out: [email protected].
The Mother of Exiles
The Mother of Exiles is a community-made sticker distributed during PyCon US 2025 in Pittsburgh, PA. It is the beginning of a series of puzzles that start on the physical stickers and end on the web.
You can still solve the Mother of Exiles puzzle.
